Senator Amaechi Tamunotonye Walson Led-SUG Executive Council Meets with Vice Chancellor Prof. Chike Princewill R. Chike and University Management.
The Executive Council of the Student Union Government, University of Port Harcourt, held a strategic meeting with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chike, Princewill R. Chike, alongside members of the University Management, to discuss issues of mutual interest affecting the University community.
Present at the meeting were the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Princewill R. Chike; Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Advancement), Prof. Chukwudi Onyeasor; Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Rosemary Ogu; Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Development), Prof. Angela Frank-Briggs; Dean of Students' Affairs, Prof. C.C. Wokocha and other Principal Officers.
The SUG delegation was led by SUG President, Senator Amaechi Tamunotonye Walson, alongside SUG Vice President, Comrade Etim Blessing Bassey, SUG Senate President, Senator Bestman Ayebaye Ilegimokuma Desmond, SUG Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Dimkpa Noble Ka-Alenebari Lah, and other members of the SUG Executive Council.
Discussions centered on sustaining peace across the campus, strengthening collaboration between the Student Union and the University Management, and ensuring a peaceful transition of the Student Union Government ahead of the forthcoming elections.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Chike encouraged the student leadership to remain committed to promoting peace, prioritizing the welfare of students, and maintaining a cordial working relationship with the University Management for the continued growth and progress of the University.

That's why our monthly Capacity Building Sessions remain a vital part of developing volunteers who can communicate with confidence, tell compelling stories, and represent the digital heartbeat of Uniport with excellence.
This month, we're honoured to welcome Dr. Mazi Eze, the Celebrity Lecturer —Lecturer in the Department of English Studies, University of Port Harcourt; Dale Carnegie Certified Public Speaking Coach; author; editor; professional Master of Ceremonies; and Director of Public Speaking Academy Ltd.
With years of experience teaching communication, coaching public speakers, and helping individuals transform from stage fright to confident, eloquent speakers, Dr. Eze will be leading our volunteers through an impactful session themed:

Mastering Confident Communication for Storytelling, Interviews & Public Speaking.
