Bevelog Nigeria Limited has paid a courtesy visit to the Management of the University of Port Harcourt to discuss a proposed partnership for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level I and II training for selected final-year students.
The delegation was received by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Professor Rosemary Ogu, who represented the Vice Chancellor, Professor Chike Princewill, alongside other principal officers.
The proposed initiative aims to equip students with specialised technical skills and internationally recognised certification pathways relevant to various industrial sectors, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace demands.

Uniport SUG Responds To School Fees Increase, Assures Students Of Action.
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Port Harcourt has acknowledged growing concerns over the recent increase in school fees, with some students reportedly facing fees exceeding ₦150,000.
In a statement dated October 17, 2026, the Union, through its Executive President, Hon. Justice Adiele Aleruchi Azubiuke, and General Secretary, Comrade Awolayefori T. George, recognised the financial pressure the increase places on students and their families.
The SUG assured students that it would engage relevant university authorities, seek clarification on the reasons for the increase and advocate for a fair and reasonable resolution.
The Union also urged students to remain calm and united while channeling their concerns through recognised Union platforms, reaffirming its commitment to protecting students’ interests and ensuring their voices are heard.
