Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Cikamo. By accessing or using the platform at https://cikamo.com, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. You must be at least 14 years of age to access Cikamo.

1. Access to the Platform

Cikamo grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, limited licence to access the platform solely for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All intellectual property rights in the platform and its content — including copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets — are owned by Cikamo Limited or its suppliers. These Terms do not transfer any such rights to you.

Cikamo reserves the right to change, suspend, or discontinue the platform at any time without notice. We will not be held liable to you or any third party for any interruption, modification, or termination of service. We are not obligated to provide technical support unless separately agreed in writing.

2. User Content

"User Content" means any information, material, or content you submit to Cikamo. You are solely responsible for your User Content and bear all risks associated with its use. By submitting User Content, you confirm it does not violate our Acceptable Use Policy.

You grant Cikamo an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to reproduce, distribute, display, perform, and create derivative works from your User Content solely for the purpose of operating the platform. Cikamo is not obligated to back up your User Content, and it may be deleted at any time without prior notice. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies.

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the platform, you assign all rights in that feedback to Cikamo, which may use it in any manner it sees fit.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to upload, transmit, or distribute content that:

• Violates any third-party intellectual property or proprietary rights
• Is unlawful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or promotes hatred or violence against any group or individual
• Is harmful to minors in any way
• Violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party obligation

You also agree not to:

• Upload software designed to damage or alter computer systems
• Send spam, chain letters, or unsolicited promotional messages
• Harvest other users' data without their consent
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's servers or networks
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform by any means
• Use automated tools to create multiple accounts or generate bulk requests
• Harass or interfere with other users' experience on the platform

Cikamo reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action — including removing content, suspending accounts, or reporting to law enforcement — against anyone who violates this policy.

You agree to indemnify Cikamo and its officers, employees, and agents against any claims, costs, or damages arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your User Content.

4. Creator Payments and Content Quality

4.1 Quality-Based Payment Eligibility

Cikamo operates a quality-based creator reward system. Payments are issued only for content that meets Cikamo's quality standards as determined through internal review. Publishing content on the platform does not guarantee payment — only content approved after review is eligible for monetisation.

4.2 Content Review and Approval

All content submitted for monetisation is subject to review. Cikamo holds sole and absolute discretion to approve or reject content, withhold or delay payments, and determine whether content meets quality requirements. Review decisions are final unless otherwise stated.

4.3 Variable Earnings

Payment rates are not fixed. They vary based on content quality, originality, creativity, effort, and value to the community. Creators whose content consistently meets or exceeds Cikamo's standards may receive higher rewards. Cikamo does not guarantee minimum earnings or uniform payout amounts.

4.4 What Counts as Quality Content

Quality content includes informative, creative, or entertaining posts that demonstrate clear effort in writing, visuals, storytelling, or presentation, and that add meaningful value to the Cikamo community. Content does not need to be entirely original — but it must offer genuine value beyond what already exists.

4.5 Content Ineligible for Payment

The following types of content will generally be deemed ineligible for payment:

• Low-effort or extremely short posts
• Copied, plagiarised, or recycled content without meaningful contribution
• Spam, misleading content, or engagement-bait posts
• Content designed primarily to manipulate reward metrics

4.6 Appeals

Creators may submit a one-time appeal for rejected content within the timeframe specified by Cikamo. Appeals must clearly explain why the content meets Cikamo's quality standards. Cikamo may review appeals but is not obligated to reverse any decision. Repeated or abusive appeals may result in loss of appeal privileges.

4.7 Abuse Prevention

Any attempt to exploit, manipulate, or bypass the content review or payment system may result in permanent loss of monetisation eligibility, content removal, and account suspension or termination.

5. Marketplace

Cikamo's Marketplace allows users to buy and sell digital and physical goods. Digital products include audios, videos, e-courses, books, software, and licence keys. Physical goods are sold directly between vendors and buyers, with Cikamo issuing an invoice for successful transactions. Cikamo does not operate an active delivery system for physical goods — buyers should transact with vendors in their local area.

Products may be listed by different vendors at different prices for the same item. This is expected and reflects each vendor's independent pricing. Cikamo is not responsible for disputes arising between buyers and vendors — we encourage both parties to communicate clearly before completing a transaction.

Digital materials are delivered online. Upload limits are: Photos — 20MB; Videos — 50MB; ZIP files — 300MB (use Google Drive for larger files).

6. Refund Policy

Refunds for purchases of Cikamo products (excluding third-party vendor products) will be processed in accordance with our Refund Policy. Users agree to the applicable refund terms at the point of purchase. For third-party products, refund eligibility is determined by the individual vendor. Please contact our support team for assistance with refund requests.

7. Other Users

Each user is solely responsible for their own User Content. Cikamo does not control User Content and is not responsible for any content posted by other users. You agree that Cikamo will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from interactions between users. If a dispute arises between users, Cikamo is under no obligation to intervene.

8. Third-Party Links and Advertisements

The platform may contain links to third-party websites or display third-party advertisements. These are provided for convenience only. Cikamo does not review, endorse, or take responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services. You use third-party links at your own risk. When you click on a third-party link, that party's own terms and privacy policy apply.

9. Verification and Points

Verification: To earn a verified badge, a user must have uploaded at least five PDF documents and referred at least one other person to the platform. Premium account holders may also apply for verification by submitting a valid government-issued ID (NIN, BVN, or Driver's Licence). Premium plans vary in duration starting from one month.

Points: Cikamo's Points System rewards quality content and genuine engagement. Points are earned based on content views, encouraging creators to produce content that resonates with and adds value to the community.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Cikamo expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cikamo will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

11. Dispute Resolution

Before seeking arbitration, either party must first send the other a written Notice of Dispute describing the nature of the claim and the relief requested. After receiving notice, both parties will attempt informal resolution for up to 30 days. If unresolved, either party may initiate binding arbitration on an individual basis. All arbitration proceedings will be conducted in English.

This Arbitration Agreement applies to all claims arising under these Terms and includes a class action waiver — you may not bring claims as part of a class or group action.

12. Termination

These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the platform. Cikamo may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, including violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your account and associated User Content may be permanently deleted. Cikamo will not be liable for any losses resulting from termination.

13. General

Cikamo may update these Terms periodically. If substantial changes are made, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Changes are effective 30 days after notice is given (immediately for new users).
