Uniport SUG Director Of Sports Comrade Daniel Duke Convenes Familiarization Meeting For Sports Leaders.
The Office of the Director of Sports, Students' Union Government (SUG), University of Port Harcourt, has issued an official notice calling for a crucial familiarization meeting with sports leaders and technical personnel across the institution.
In a memorandum released on September 8, 2026, and signed by the SUG Director of Sports, Comrade Daniel Duke, all Faculty, Departmental, and Ethnic Directors of Sports Elect, as well as Captains and Coaches of Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, and other sporting disciplines, are invited to attend.
The meeting is aimed at bringing together campus sports leadership and technical crews to meet, connect, share ideas, set expectations, and establish a coordinated strategy for sports development across the university.

- Time: 4:00 PM
- Venue: Uniport Stadium

Uniport SUG Secretary General Announces Appointments.
The Office of the Secretary General, Students' Union Government (SUG), University of Port Harcourt, has officially announced the appointment of new aides to support the administration's operations.
In an official memo dated September 8, 2026, signed by the Secretary General, Comrade Awolayeofori T. George, the following individuals were appointed to serve in her office:
- Nkpo-Iwan Josiah Abraham – Protocol Aide
- Ibiapuye Afonyaa Akpomiemie – Personal Assistant to the Secretary-General
