2nd CANDIX Inter-Secondary Karate Competition Holds in the University of Port Harcourt.
The Karate competition has athletes from secondary schools in Rivers State competimg for honours in two categories of the competition; kata(demonstration) and kumite(fighting).
Karate according to the organizer Engineer Amakiri Oruamabo equips the children with mental alertness, combat skills to ward off attacks and also allows for a uniform training by all schools on the principles and techniques of Karate.
The Uniport gymnasium is the venue of the 2025 edition and had the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill in attendance.
