2nd CANDIX Inter-Secondary Karate Competition Holds in the University of Port Harcourt. The Karate competition has athletes from secondary schools in Rivers State competimg for honours in two categories of the competition; kata(demonstration) and kumite(fighting). Karate according to the organizer Engineer Amakiri Oruamabo equips the children with mental alertness, combat skills to ward off attacks and also allows for a uniform training by all schools on the principles and techniques of Karate.
