  • THE HOLY SPIRIT VS. THE GPA: The University of Calabar Exam Scandal.
(This is one of those "only in a university" stories that perfectly balances the bizarre with a moral dilemma.)

Imagine sitting for an exam, opening the booklet, and realizing the examiner accidentally printed the answers right under the questions. That’s exactly what allegedly happened at the Unical during a Hospitality and Tourism Management exam. For over an hour, the hall was pin-drop silent as students "diligently" copied their way to a perfect score.

With only 5 minutes left on the clock, a female student stood up. She didn't ask for an extra sheet—she confessed. She told the lecturer that the Holy Spirit prompted her to speak up about the leaked answers.

The exam was immediately cancelled. Years of "academic management" vanished in seconds.

The leaked image shows the question paper (Course HTM 103) with the answers clearly typed in bold directly below each prompt.
Question: "Travel for pleasure is called _______ tourism."
    Answer provided: "Leisure tourism."

    Let’s Debate!
This has sparked a massive row online. Which side are you on?

    A) TEAM CONSCIENCE: She did the right thing! Integrity matters more than a grade, and a degree built on lies is worthless.

    B) TEAM "WHY NOW?": Why wait until 5 minutes before the end? If the Holy Spirit spoke at the start, she should have said something then before everyone wasted their energy.

    C) TEAM SURVIVAL: She just "cancelled" the hard work (and luck) of her fellow students. There’s a time to be a saint and a time to just mind your business.

Would you have been the one to speak up, or would you have whispered "Amen" and kept writing?

Drop your thoughts in the comments.

  • A Defining Week at Uniport: New Beginnings, New Battles, New Conversations, New Stories.

This week at the University of Port Harcourt is a powerful blend of academics, leadership, sports, celebration, and community — a true reflection of vibrant campus life.

On Tuesday February 10, 2026 we officially welcome a new generation of students as Uniport Matriculation holds. It’s a day of pride, hope, and fresh beginnings. To every fresher, welcome to a journey that will shape your mind, your character, and your future. This is where your Uniport story truly begins.

Then on Thursday, intellectual engagement and leadership discourse take center stage as the Uniport Students’ Union Government (SUG) hosts a Day Symposium in honour of Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill, Vice Chancellor, Uniport, themed “Resolution: From Agitations to Negotiations.” With Prof. Obari Gomba as guest speaker and a lineup of past and present SUG leaders, the symposium promises deep conversations on dialogue, leadership, and sustainable student–administration relations.

From Wednesday, the energy shifts to the pitch as the Uniport Champions League and Uniport Conference League kick off. After the highly anticipated draws held last week, teams now know their opponents, rivalries are renewed, and the chase for glory begins. Beyond trophies, these tournaments represent passion, teamwork, discipline, and the competitive spirit that unites the campus.

And beyond academics and sports, the campus comes alive with celebration and lifestyle. Tuesday night sets the vibe with the After Party Rave (Freshers Edition) holding at CJ Paradise, Choba — a perfect welcome into Uniport’s social culture. Then Thursday, love, friendship, and good energy take over with Galentine Night holding at Julirose Hotel Pool Side, creating space for connection, relaxation, and memorable moments.

At Unique Stoary, we celebrate these moments because they tell the full story of campus life — learning, leadership, competition, culture, and community. From lecture halls to football fields, from symposium halls to party nights, Uniport continues to write powerful stories — and we’re here to tell them.

Here’s to a week of new beginnings, deep conversations, fierce competition, vibrant celebrations, and unforgettable memories.
Welcome freshers. Best of luck to all teams. Insightful deliberations to our leaders. Great vibes to everyone.

    Let the stories begin.

  • Here's How To Start Branding Yourself As A Student.

Many students are walking around campus with vibes, exam stress and indomie energy, but zero personal brand.

Meanwhile, your future employer is somewhere scrolling through LinkedIn like, “Who can I trust with this opportunity?”

And you? You’re posting ‘outside tonight’ and shouting “God when”.

Or are you saying: "I'll cross that bridge when I reach there"

    Toor. Let’s fix it now.

Here are simple ways to start branding yourself, even as a student: no pressure, no ring light, no tripod, nothing.

1️⃣ Pick ONE thing you want to be known for.

Not five. Not seven. Just one.

“Future Pharmacist Pen” (already taken sha )
    “Public Health storyteller”
    “Campus tech guy”
“Makeup artist who saves students’ pockets”

Your brand starts when people can say:
    “That’s the person that does…”

If they can’t complete that sentence, your branding hasn’t started.

2️⃣ Start sharing the SMALL things you already know.

People think branding is dropping TED Talks. No. It’s simply showing what you’re learning.

    Examples:
“What I learned today in Biopharmaceutics…”
“A study tip that helped me survive this week…”
    “A funny mistake I made during practicals…”
“How I improved my makeup game this semester…”

    Consistency beats perfection, every time.

3️⃣ Clean your social media like someone expecting visitors.

Your bio should not look like:
ABSU | Jesus baby | Born to be wild | Small girl big God.”

    Ah ah!

My dear, what should people follow you for?

    Fix it:
✔ Pharmacy student | Future clinical pharmacist
    ✔ Public health advocate
✔ Content creator sharing study, career & lifestyle tips

That’s a brand. Simple and clean.

    4️⃣ Your DP matters.

You can't be shouting “personal brand!” But your profile picture looks like someone hiding from EFCC.

Pick a clear, friendly, confident photo, that’s your first impression, and that's what people trust.

5️⃣ Start showing your growth journey, not perfection.

People don’t fall in love with “experts.” They fall in love with students becoming experts.

    Post things like:
    Your struggles
    Your small wins
    What you learned
What you failed at and corrected
    Behind-the-scenes of your daily grind

That's what builds connection, and connection builds brand loyalty.

6️⃣ Network like someone that wants to leave Nigeria eventually.

Reply comments. Talk to seniors. Engage other creators. Connect with lecturers with sense. Build your circle before you need your circle.

7️⃣ Be consistent even if your procrastination spirit is fighting you.

You don’t need to post daily. Just show up enough for people to trust your presence.

Remember: You are your biggest project.

And people are watching you more than you think.

If you start today, you won’t recognize yourself in 6 months.

Branding isn’t just for influencers. It’s for students who want to stand out.

    Students who want opportunities.
    Students who want visibility.
    Students who want to matter.

And that student can be YOU.
