#SundayStoary Episode 36 Sunday Stoary is more than a conversation—it’s a space where we gather to talk faith, purpose, and Christ, honestly and intentionally. There are seasons when God calls you to initiate the change, and seasons when He calls you to strengthen what is already in motion. True wisdom lies in knowing the difference between planting fresh seeds and watering what is already growing. In an interview, I was once asked: “Do you want to make a difference, or do you want to be the difference?" Sometimes, in our quest to be the difference, we risk stepping out of divine alignment—trying to fulfill a role we were never built for. So, how do we discern our true function in every season? Are you meant to initiate change right now, or build on what already exists? Let’s find that out today!!! Let’s Breathe. Reflect and journey together. 🙏 💌 Invite someone who is seeking wisdom, ready to discover their true role, and step boldly into their divine alignment. 🕗 8:08 PM 📍 Join the WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbAYOmR05MUbjMcimM00 #UniqueStoary #SundayStoary #Faith #Wisdom #Purpose #DivineAlignment

EDITORIAL: Uniport This Week — SUG Week, Sports, Music, Politics & Entertainment. Last Thursday and Friday, Uniport came alive with the Spotify Campus Drop, a two-day experience combining music, creativity, workshops, conversations and live performances. Day One, “No Data, No Wahala,” introduced students to Spotify Premium’s offline listening experience, while Day Two, “Fresh Finds on Campus,” featured workshops, artist conversations and live performances. Unique Stoary collaborated with Spotify and was on ground throughout the two days, capturing the energy and memorable moments from the experience. Now, a new week begins with even more happening across campus. At the centre of the week is SUG Week ’26, themed “Liberation.” The celebration officially began on Sunday with Praise Night, bringing students together for worship, music and celebration. With more activities lined up, SUG Week is set to provide students with opportunities to connect, unwind and create memorable experiences beyond the classroom. Tuesday is a big day for football lovers. The Uniport Stadium will host the Uniport Freshers’ Cup Final, with BMS taking on SSLT at 10:00 AM. Later in the day, Portugal (Engineering) will face Mexico (Agric) at 2:00 PM in another highly anticipated final. Two finals, one stadium and plenty at stake. Meanwhile, the SUG political season has entered a new phase. The campaign period for students who indicated interest in contesting for elective positions has officially ended. After weeks of campaigns, promises and engagements across campus, attention now shifts to the next stage of the electoral process. With campaigning over, students have an opportunity to reflect on the candidates, their ideas and records, and the kind of leadership they want. Beyond posters and campaign slogans, the focus should remain on representation, accountability and effective service to the student community. And when the week winds down, MC Olaks Friday Night Laughs is set to bring comedy and entertainment to campus. The event holds at Unique Luxury Hotel and Suites by 6:00 PM, offering students the opportunity to relax, laugh and round off an eventful week. From SUG Week and football finals to music, student politics and comedy, Uniport has plenty happening this week. University life goes beyond lectures and examinations; it is also about the experiences, conversations, competitions and memories created along the way. As always, Unique Stoary will remain close to the action, bringing you the people, events and conversations shaping student life. Stay informed. Stay connected. Stay Uniport. #SundayStoary Episode 26 Sunday Stoary is more than a conversation—it’s a space where we gather to talk faith, purpose, and Christ, honestly and intentionally. Christianity was never meant to be a luxury product, a popularity contest, or a journey built solely around what God can give us. It is a journey of the cross, the scars, the sacrifice, and ultimately, the crown. We live in a time where testimonies can become more about what we acquired than what we survived. But the scars of Christ remind us that every scar has a story. Faith is not formed only in comfort; it is often born through labour, pain, tears, and sacrifice. The question is not only, "What can God give me?" but "What am I willing to give God?" Don't create God in your mind. Don't reduce Him to the forms through which He reveals Himself. Look beyond the form and discern the truth. Because Christianity is not simply about receiving the benefits of the cross—it is about understanding and embracing its cost. Let’s Breathe. Reflect and journey together. 🙏 💌 Invite someone who is ready to look beyond the form, embrace the cross, and discover the cost of truly following Christ. 🕗 8:08 PM 📍 Join the WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbAYOmR05MUbjMcimM00 #UniqueStoary #SundayStoary #Faith #TheCross #Christianity #KingdomMindset

EDITORIAL: Beyond the Dissolution—What Happens to Students' Democracy and Campus Life at Uniport? The University of Port Harcourt community on Sunday, 19th July 2026, were stunned by one of the most consequential administrative decisions in recent student union history: the immediate dissolution of the Students' Union Government (SUG), Hall Representatives, and all other Students' Union activities. The University's position is clear. Through a memorandum signed by the Dean of Students' Affairs, Prof. G. N. Woke, on the directive of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chike Princewill R. Chike, the administration has ordered the immediate handover of all union property and directed elected officials to appear before an investigative panel to account for their stewardship. Equally swift was the response from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). NANS National President, Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, rejected the dissolution, arguing that while allegations of misconduct should be investigated, elected student leaders deserve due process, transparency, and fair hearing. In a separate statement, NANS National Director of Special Duties, Comrade Levi Sam Okuru, described the action as excessive and called for dialogue instead of outright dissolution. The opposing positions have already ignited debates across campus and beyond. However, beyond the legal and administrative arguments lies a more immediate question that concerns every student: What happens next? The Students' Union Government is more than an executive council. It is the coordinating body behind many of the activities that shape campus life. Its dissolution leaves uncertainty around several ongoing and upcoming programmes that students have anticipated for months. Questions are already being asked about the fate of the Fresher's Cup, VC's Cup, and the Uniport D'Or Awards, coordinated by the SUG Director of Sports, Comrade Bolarinwa David Olaniyi (Holla). Will these events continue under university supervision, be postponed indefinitely, or be cancelled altogether? There is also uncertainty surrounding Play Fest, an initiative championed by the In-House Senate Chairman on Socials, Senator Otto Joshua, as well as the Functional Students Campaign 2026, a drug awareness programme organized by the Directorate of Students with Special Needs and hosted by Senator Henry Ikechukwu in partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Rivers State Command. The campaign is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 29th July 2026, at the Faculty of Education Auditorium. With the dissolution now in effect, students are left wondering whether this programme and similar initiatives will proceed as planned. •[Read full Editorial on our Facebook page.]• Unique Stoary...digital heartbeat of Uniport. 📌 Join the Unique Stoary Community on Telegram let's have real time discussions on latest happenings and matters arising in Uniport. #SundayStoary Episode 25 Sunday Stoary is more than a conversation—it’s a space where we gather to talk faith, purpose, and Christ, honestly and intentionally. We often think the path to success is paved with our own brilliant ideas and endless hustle. But the truth is, true knowledge doesn't come from gathering information; it comes from a posture of surrender. Proverbs 12:1 reminds us that whoever loves instruction loves knowledge. God’s instructions aren't suggestions to ponder—they are commands that require practical obedience. When Saul obeyed, he prophesied. Alignment always precedes the overflow. Let’s Breathe. Reflect and journey together. 🙏 💌 Invite someone who is ready to embrace instruction, walk humility, and align their timing with God's rhythm. 🕗 8:08 PM 📍 Join the WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbAYOmR05MUbjMcimM00 #UniqueStoary #SundayStoary #Uniport #Obedience #Humility #KingdomMindset

#SundayStoary Episode 24 Sunday Stoary is more than a conversation—it’s a space where we gather to talk faith, purpose, and Christ, honestly and intentionally. Ever look at the massive dreams in your heart, the sudden bursts of courage you get, or that quiet, persistent push to keep going even when you're tired, and wonder… where does that actually come from? “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ It’s not just coincidence. And it’s definitely not just you working on your own strength. Let’s Breathe. Reflect and journey together. 🙏 💌 Invite someone who is eager to change the course of their life and walk in alignment. 🕗 8:08 PM 📍 Join the WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbAYOmR05MUbjMcimM00 #UniqueStoary #SundayStoary #Uniport #Alignment #KingdomMindset
