Uniport College of Health Sciences Hosts Grand Reception In Honour Of Prof. Chike Princewill. The College of Health Sciences, University of Port Harcourt, on Monday, August 10, 2026, hosted a grand reception in honour of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chike Princewill, celebrating his appointment and reaffirming the College’s support for his administration. Speaking at the event, Prof. Princewill thanked the College for the warm reception and pledged his administration’s support for initiatives that will strengthen teaching, research, learning and healthcare delivery. He specifically committed to supporting the construction of a befitting College building and expressed optimism that the admission quota for Medicine and Surgery could increase beyond the current 150, while maintaining academic standards. The Vice-Chancellor also urged the College to attract investors, development partners and other stakeholders to support infrastructure, research, innovation and capacity development. The Provost, Prof. Ngozi Ekeke, appealed for continued attention to the College’s needs, while senior academics and staff pledged their support for the success of the new administration.
