Uniport SUG Announces New Format for VC Cup 2026.The Students’ Union Government (SUG), University of Port Harcourt, through the Office of the Director of Sports, has announced a major update to the format of the upcoming VC Cup competition.According to a statement signed by the SUG Director of Sports, Comr. Bolarinwa David Holla, the tournament will now adopt a “Country Version” format. Under the new arrangement, each faculty participating in the competition will represent a designated country throughout the tournament.The statement also revealed that faculties will be required to compete using the kits of the countries they represent. The move, according to the Sports Directorate, is aimed at promoting uniformity and enhancing the spirit of the competition.In another significant change, the VC Cup will now be played in a league format.
