Donald E.U. Ekong Library Book Club Holds First Physical Meeting.
On Monday February 16, 2026, the newly inaugurated Donald E.U. Ekong Library Book Club held its first physical meeting. The meeting was honoured by the University Librarian, Prof. Helen U. Emasealu, who addressed members of the book club.
In her remarks, she offered words of encouragement and guidance, highlighting the importance and benefits of reading. She encouraged members to cultivate a strong reading culture as a means of academic development and personal growth.
As part of the meeting’s activities, hard copies of the Book of the Month, Dream Count by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, were distributed to members to further promote reading and engagement within the book club.
