Uniport Named to Serve on Technical Working Group for National Universities Advancement Program. The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation, unveiled six universities as members of the technical working group for the National Universities Advancement Program which Uniport was named. Professor Georgewill expressed appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, for the honour accorded to the University of Port Harcourt through its inclusion in the technical working group. He also thanked the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation for this honour done to the University and pledged that the University of Port Harcourt will work diligently with the other members of the working group to ensure a very successful assignment. Other members of the Technical Working group are University of Lagos & University of Ibadan (South West), Ahmadu Bello University (North West), University of Maiduguri (North East), University of Nigeria, Nsukka (South East) and University of Ilorin (North Central).
