UNIPORT SET TO INAUGURATE THE 10TH SUG SENATE. The Students’ Union Government (SUG), University of Port Harcourt, is set to officially inaugurate the 10th Senate of the Student Representative Council (SRC), comprising all duly elected and nominated senators across faculties, hostels, and off-campus constituencies. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to hold on Monday, 26th January 2026. Time: 10:00am Venue: Faculty of Social Sciences Auditorium, University of Port Harcourt. The ceremony will be graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill, alongside the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Chima Nwokocha. Also in attendance will be the SUG President, Sen. Walson Amaechi Tonye, the Senate President, Sen. Bestman D.I Ayebaye, and the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Uranta Donald Godwin, among other principal officers and stakeholders of the University community.
