In a bid to address growing concerns over campus living conditions, the Directorate of Welfare, Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Port Harcourt, has summoned all food vendors across its three campuses; Abuja, Choba and Delta to an urgent general meeting. The circular, signed by Welfare Director Comr. Tabuka Muele David, sets the meeting for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at PS Hall, Abuja Campus by 12pm. The meeting will focus on matters concerning food hygiene, pricing, quality of service, student's welfare and the need for a better relationship between food vendors and the student community. All vendors are expected to attend and be punctual.
