Uniport Holds Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise. The University of Port Harcourt today held its monthly environmental sanitation exercise, with the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Advancement) Prof. Chukwudi Onyeasor, representing the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chike Princewill R. Chike, in leading the exercise. The exercise commenced at the Delta Campus, moved to the Choba Campus, and ended at the University Park, with staff, students and residents turning out in large numbers to clean their surroundings. The Director, Campus Environmental Beautification and Sanitation Unit (CEBAS), Dr. Ovunda Ihunwo, also participated in the exercise, reinforcing the University’s commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Prof. Onyeasor stated that the exercise, in line with the directive of the University’s Governing Council, has come to stay. He urged members of the University community to embrace environmental sanitation as a collective responsibility towards building a greener, cleaner and healthier Uniport.
