The University of Port Harcourt in collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) has officially inducted students of the 2023/2024 academic session of the School of Science Laboratory Technology (SSLT) into the profession, charging them to uphold the values of accuracy, professionalism, integrity and excellence in their practice. The charge was delivered by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Chike Princewill R. Chike, who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Advancement) Prof. Chukwudi Onyeasor, at the 12th Induction/Oath-Taking Ceremony of the School of Science Laboratory Technology held on Thursday August 27, 2026 at the CBN Centre of Excellence Auditorium, University of Port Harcourt. The Vice Chancellor urged the inductees to see their profession not merely as a career, but as a responsibility requiring discipline, competence and unwavering commitment to ethical standards.
