Uniport Suspends Lectures for SUG Week. The University of Port Harcourt has suspended lectures and other academic activities involving students throughout the 2026 Student Union Week. According to a memorandum from the Student Affairs Department, the suspension runs from August 16 to August 23, 2026, to enable students to fully participate in the week-long activities. The University has directed Provosts, Deans and Heads of Departments to inform staff and students and ensure strict compliance. Students are encouraged to participate responsibly in the scheduled SUG Week activities.
