Uniport Inducts New Medical Doctors, Dental Surgeons, Charges Them On Professionalism. The University of Port Harcourt has inducted a new set of medical doctors and dental surgeons, with Vice Chancellor, Professor Chike Princewill, urging them to uphold professionalism, integrity and compassion in the practice of their professions. Professor Princewill gave the charge on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the 57th Induction Ceremony for Medical Doctors and 14th Induction Ceremony for Dental Surgeons held at the CBN Centre of Excellence. He reminded the inductees that their induction marks not just the completion of their training, but the beginning of a lifelong commitment to excellence, continuous learning and service to humanity. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the new professionals and commended the College of Health Sciences, staff, parents and guardians for their contributions to their success. The oath of professional practice was administered by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), represented by its Assistant Registrar, Dr. Tijani Mandaka.
