The University of Port Harcourt Council Taskforce on Business Concerns, led by Chief Kadilo Kabari, has strengthened ties with the Ikwerre Local Government Area through a strategic engagement with the Council Chairman, Hon. Charles Wobodo, aimed at addressing key business, security, and infrastructural issues affecting the University. During the courtesy visit on Thursday, 6th August 2026, Chief Kabari said the engagement forms part of the Taskforce's mandate to enhance the University's business environment through improved revenue generation, investment opportunities, business regulation, and the reorganisation of commercial activities. In his response, the Chairman Hon. Charles Wobodo welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to partnering with the University in tackling security, environmental management, business regulation, and infrastructure development for the mutual benefit of the institution and its host communities.
