The Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Chike Princewill, on Tuesday, 4th August 2026, received the report of the Committee set up to investigate the Student Union Government (SUG) leadership crisis. Professor Princewill commended the Committee for its diligence and professionalism, assuring that the University's Management would carefully review the report and implement recommendations in the best interest of the University and its students. The Committee was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor on July 20, 2026 with a two-week mandate to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Student Union leadership crisis and make appropriate recommendations.
