The Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Chike Princewill has charged the graduating Class of 2026 of the University Demonstration Secondary School (UDSS) to uphold integrity, pursue excellence, and embrace lifelong learning as they advance to the next phase of their academic journey.
The Vice Chancellor gave the charge in a goodwill message delivered on his behalf by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Rosemary Ogu, during the UDSS Send Forth Ceremony held on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Professor Princewill reminded the graduating students that although technology and Artificial Intelligence continue to transform the world, character remains the foundation of lasting success. He encouraged them to dream boldly, remain resilient in the face of challenges, cultivate meaningful friendships, and dedicate themselves to serving humanity.
He further urged the students to remain worthy ambassadors of the University Demonstration Secondary School and the University of Port Harcourt wherever life takes them, emphasizing that true success is measured not only by academic achievement but also by integrity, discipline, and positive impact on society.
