DAY 4 | Vice Chancellor Close-Out Ceremony | Works Department As his tenure draws to a close, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Owunari A. Georgewill, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Works and Services Department for their unwavering commitment to keeping the University running throughout his five years in office. He acknowledged the countless sacrifices made by the department—from responding to electrical faults even in the early hours of the morning so students could have light to study, to maintaining classrooms, repairing roofs and windows, servicing generators, ensuring operators remained on standby during power outages, and managing essential facilities across the University. Prof. Georgewill also thanked the department for hosting him as he bid farewell to the University community during his close-out activities. He specially commended Engr. Nicholas Abule and the entire Works and Services team for their dedication and invaluable contributions to his five-year administration.
