Reading was not a habit I grew up with.

Yes, I said it. I wasn’t that girl who always had a book in her hand or spent hours in the library.
In fact, I was among those students who— even if we didn’t read— would still pass the exams.

And that’s how unconscious reading became a habit.
I found reading difficult. It just wasn’t my thing.

Meanwhile, my dad could sit for hours reading. You’d walk into his room, and he’d be lost in a book.
One day he called all of us and said,

> “This thing you all do is not good. I have a library here, and you all walk in, see me reading, and walk out. None of you want to learn this habit from me.”

That statement stuck.
And that day, I decided to rethink my life.
