CIKAMO AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Cikamo Student Ambassador Program is designed to engage students like you in promoting and representing Cikamo within your university or college community. If you are enthusiastic about Cikamo and interested in helping other students, this is an opportunity to get involved.

As an Ambassador, you will play an important role in growing the Cikamo student community, encouraging active participation, and helping students connect with one another in a helpful, engaging and enjoyable environment.

YOUR ROLE AS AN AMBASSADOR

As a Cikamo Student Ambassador, think of yourself as Cikamo's go-to person at your school. Your job includes the following:

• Representing Cikamo as its official face at your university or college..
• Promoting Cikamo by encouraging classmates and other students to sign up, post content and remain active on the app.
• Helping to create a lively online community where students can engage in conversations about school, studying and other interests in a fun and meaningful environment.

YOUR WEEKLY CHECKLIST:

• Post at least 10 updates per week, of which 5 should be lesson materials such as notes, past questions and course outlines. Other updates may include memes, polls for gathering opinions, conversation starters or interesting news.
• Personally invite at least 5 new people to join Cikamo each week. At least one of these should be a digital vendor. Any vendor within your department will fall within your area of responsibility as an Ambassador.
• Share Cikamo links and updates across WhatsApp, Telegram and other social media groups commonly used by students.
• Actively participate in conversations by commenting on posts, liking content and sharing your thoughts.
• Collect honest feedback from fellow students and communicate it to the Cikamo team to support the continued improvement of the platform.

THE FINE PRINT: Terms of Participation

Before you get started, please take note of the following terms:

• You must be a currently enrolled student at a recognised university or college.
• The Ambassador Programme runs for six months, after which performance will be reviewed to determine whether the contract will be renewed. 
• As an Ambassador, you are expected to be respectful, inclusive and genuine in all your activities, in line with Cikamo's core values.
• If you engage in conduct such as misusing your privileges or disseminating incorrect information, you will be removed from the programme.
• Participation in the program is voluntary . There is no salary; however, Ambassadors will receive the rewards and benefits listed below.

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

For being an active ambassador, you'll get the following:

• A special Cikamo Ambassador Badge on your profile to show off your role.
• A verified badge will also be given on your profile
• An increase in point earnings, from 5 points=1naira to 1 point=1naira
• He/she will be featured as a pro user
• Attainment of being the verified vendor for academic materials
• Shout-outs on Cikamo’s website and social media channels.
• Exclusive swag. This includes free data/airtime, and Cikamo-branded stuff like T-shirts, stickers, and wristbands.
• A Certificate of Achievement and a Letter of Recommendation when you successfully complete your term. These will look great on your resume.
• Real-world leadership experience. You'll get a chance to learn how to build a community online, which is a skill that can be useful in your career.

AMBASSADOR OF THE MONTH

Each month, Cikamo will choose an Ambassador of the Month. This is a chance for us to give recognition to someone who has gone above and beyond.

The monthly winner gets:

• Featured recognition across all Cikamo platforms.
• Even more exclusive gifts and special treatment.

TERMINATION

Cikamo has the option to end your time as an ambassador if:

• You break the program rules or community rules.
• You are not active or not meeting the basic requirements.
• You do something that hurts the Cikamo brand or community.

THE AGREEMENT

By signing up for the Cikamo Student Ambassador Program, you're saying that you agree to all the points listed above. You are also making a commitment to represent Cikamo in a positive, honest, and professional way.
