The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in collaboration with the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme, is set to establish a Technical/Robotic Centre of Excellence at the University of Port Harcourt. A delegation from NITDA and iDICE, led by Senior Manager, NITDA Abuja Office, Engineer Aminayanasam Omorieokuma, visited the University on Monday, September 21, 2026, to assess facilities and engage the University on its preparedness to host the Centre. UNIPORT Reschedules Second Semester Examinations Affected by ASUU Strike The University of Port Harcourt has announced adjustments to the schedule for the ongoing Second Semester Examinations following the recent Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike, which affected some examination dates. In a memorandum dated September 21, 2026, the Registrar, Mrs Gloria O. Chindah, PhD, said examinations scheduled for the remaining days of this week—from Tuesday, September 22 to Friday, September 25, 2026—will hold as scheduled, with no changes to the existing timetable. According to the adjustment, examinations that could not hold on September 17, 18 and 21 have been rescheduled for September 28, 29 and 30, 2026, respectively. The examinations will take place at the same times and venues indicated in the original timetables.
