A distinguished graduate of the Faculty of Engineering, Tein Jack-Rich has once again demonstrated his commitment to giving back to his alma mater by upgrading facilities in the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering. The Uniport Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, alongside members of the university management, inspected the upgraded facilities and the extensive rehabilitation carried out in key classrooms used for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The intervention includes fully air-conditioned classrooms equipped with smart boards, cameras for real-time online and hybrid teaching, reliable routers, and a hybrid solar power system to ensure uninterrupted learning. In addition to the complete renovation of the classrooms, the new facilities have been designed to support modern teaching methods and efficient learning management, strengthening the department’s capacity for academic excellence and research innovation.
