Tabuka Muele David yesterday officially commenced the distribution of the Free Faculty ID Cards to faculties that have completed their registration process under the Free Faculty ID Card Initiative. The distribution began with the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, where ID cards were successfully distributed to beneficiaries who were present. This initiative is aimed at supporting students and promoting proper identification within the university community. This is the beautiful moment University of Port Harcourt nursing students surprised their HOD. To many, she is an administrator, but to these students, she has been a consistent mother figure through every high and low of the Nursing department.When they told her a student needed urgent medical attention, she didn’t hesitate. She didn’t ask questions. She simply dropped everything and ran—protecting her own at all costs. Little did she know, the only thing waiting for her downstairs was a sea of grateful students and a celebration of her new role. Students described her as a "Mother Figure" to the entire department, and her reaction to the "emergency" proves exactly why. At Unique Stoary, we are deeply moved by this gesture. It takes a special kind of leader to inspire this level of devotion, but it also takes an incredible set of students to recognize and celebrate it so intentionally.
